| We
recommend that every dog owner watch his show, the "Dog Whisperer", on
National Geographic or
purchase his DVD sets. Cesar Milan calls himself a dog psychologist rather than a dog trainer, because a well behaved and balanced pet is not just about a dog knowing the commands for sit, stay, come, down, etc. Dogs that are mentally balanced, happy and a pleasure to be around are wonderful companions, and Cesar shows how to achieve that in simple steps and principles that dog owners can apply. Cesar does caution people to get professional help, as you may not have the experience to correctly apply his techniques in dangerous situations... however, behaviors such as dogs that yap at the door, don't walk nicely on lead and other irritating issues can be corrected, and often very quickly. Please be patient for half a minute while the clips load. Enjoy! ![]() |
Small dogs can often display dominant behavior, like these two Maltese who yap and bark at the door and jump up on people... |
|
Part 2
of a televised "Up Close" interview with Cesar and a number of the dogs
he has worked with.
|
|
And part 3 of Up Close's interview... |
|
Cesar
works with a case of dog aggression towards other
dogs...
|
|
and with prey drive and obsession... |
|
and with dogs that jump excitedly when going for a walk... |
| and with aggression and food dominance |
| and teaching a dog to respect boundaries and not go racing out of the door |
| working with a dog that pulls on the lead, especially around other dogs... |
